Really enjoyable read - gave me some ideas for my Warlock game. I would be very interested to hear a bit more about the other guys who where top of the tournament, their decks / strategy.

Now that I think more about it though, is there any reason that Sleep isn't a better solution; not to mention cheaper?

I guess against a low level creature sleep is an ok solution. The problem I have with sleep is that it's easily removed by attacking your own (sleeped) creature. Sometimes you might not end up even making the creature lose one action - at least banish is guaranteed for 3 turns.

Ah that's excellent news. A few cards from the core set is fine but I was concerned that there might be a lot of them present.

Hi,

Just a quick question, will cards from the core set be included in the warlord / forcemaster expansion? For example simple spells like block or dispel.

Reason I ask is I have been considering getting some core tomes, just want to make an educated buying decision.

I was on the other side of the game which Gus is describing and it felt much more sportsman like to shake hands and call it a draw. Fine for a casual setting, not sure what would happen in a tournament though.
