Thanks  :)

I hit on an idea of these spells when I have walked home after our league meeting and there was a snowstorm around me.

Where does my greatest enemy lie?
It has been around since the dawn of time,
it follows your loved ones as well as mine,
takes the form of a mountain as well as a flower,
it cannot be outrun by the greatest of power.
Where does my greatest enemy lie?

This is a great card. One favorite of mine in Magic is Iceage/Snowscape and I'd like to see something similar in MW.

Why would ice field always slow creatures down? It's slippery. It could have a chance of making non flying creatures trip and fall though. Why not make it so that non flying creatures that enter the Ice rink are either restrained until end of round or pushed to the next zone?

I would say do to the fact unless a creature was used to moving and fighting on ice it would act as a hindrance.

Except ice on the ground doesn't slow anyone down unless they fall. Aside from that, it doesn't hinder them from moving.

You try walking around in 60+ pound of armor on ice. It is not easy. Shoes at that time were nothing more than flat bottom boots or leather covers.
