It says on the card that goblin builder is a familer and it can cast conjurations. So shouldn't it be able to channel mana because that's not on the card. Is it a miss print?
-
familiars don't have to have channel. just coincidence all the previous ones have.
rule book page 16 "familiars"
"often, these creatures can channel mana as well."
note often means they don't have to have channel

So then they can cast conjurations but the mana just comes from the Mages mana pool?

That's correct mate.

Ok thanks

It is meant to save you an action, so that at planning you put it on the creature instead of yourself.

just to clarify to prevent confusion, you can put the conjuration on the builder (in the same manner as a spawn-point) but you don't reveal it during the deployment phase. your builder must use the conjuration during his action phase

I believe you are correct NitroDavid. After you cast a from the Goblin builder, you can put another spell on him that he is able/allowed to cast and do that. Someone smarter than me correct me if I am wrong.

Yes the GB has to use a Full action to cast the Conjuration spell during his Action Phase.

Well, now Goblin Builders don't seem to suck so badly :) That'll teach me not to play the Warlord.

Just a quick point, all familiars can use mana from the mages pool...
So then they can cast conjurations but the mana just comes from the Mages mana pool?
