Title: OTCGN Spellbook validation plugin help
Post by: MasterSlothBear on December 27, 2017, 01:37:33 PM
Hi, I have been trying hard to resolve this issue but can't seem to figure it out.

I was trying to get back into playing on OCTGN but when I go to the deck editor and try to validate certain decks I get a message like this,

"Validation FAILED. The card Altar of Skulls is not legal in a none in deck deck."

I have found this is maybe because I need to update my spellbook builder plugin.

I have gone to this site to do that http://octgngames.com/magewars/install-2/sbb/
It says to download it from the dropbox but then at the bottom says the updated plugin is no longer available there but is available in the "update package itself." I don't know what that is or where to find it. I have tried uninstalling the mage wars from octgn but haven't had any luck with that.

Any help is much appreciated. Thank you!

The only solution i have found is to put the stat card above the mage art card bc the validator draws info from the stats not the mage art card.

Other than that idk and hopefully puddinhead or sharkbait can provide further help if this doesnt work.

I haven came across this several times too and yea like Dr mambo said by putting Mage and Mage stat on top seems to be the solution.  Hope that is all it is.

I had the same problem - I always tended to have the art card first, then the stats card. Swap those two around, and all is fine.

Hey guys thank you. It worked just in time to play.

And thanks to Romeoxero who joined our game and helped us along the way!
