Rules Discussion / restore ability and sleep
« on: April 23, 2014, 08:47:48 AM »
Hi, I looked for answers for this and could not find one. The question is if a priestess or healing wand use their ability to allow the removal of a sleep token, would it still turn into a daze? A friend who was "judging" a match I was playing insisted this was the case, however as per the codex and the token itself it says that sleep turns into a daze when damaged. The friend argued that since there is nothing in either the codex or the rules saying the removal is exempt of turning the sleep into a daze that it must still turn to a daze. Also, he said the game creators intended this because, and I quote, "when you wake up, you feel dazed."

Thanks,
Charles

General Questions / Re: concerning daze and quick cast

Thanks for the replies. Maybe I missed it in the core rule book or the errata, but I didn't find anything that specifically spoke about this and didn't want to assume either case. Both replies cleared up the issue.

General Questions / concerning daze and quick cast
« on: March 16, 2014, 06:04:41 PM »
I know it's been discussed, but the topic was older than 60 days old and when posting a reply I was given a warning of sorts. The post is http://forum.arcanewonders.com/index.php?topic=12215.0

According to sdougla2, the daze condition is removed after activation. However according to the tokens themselves, they say they're removed after acting. In other words, activation is simply flipping over the creatures action token before the creatures actually acts, but what is acting considered? Is quick cast not considered acting even though it is an action? Shouldn't a daze be removed if you use your quick cast action to cast say a Force Push, then follow up with your mage's full creature action to cast an attack spell as normal? I guess I'm seeking a definition for the word acting.

Thanks,
Charles
