So if the Idol of Pestilence is out, this pretty much nerf the druid, right? - It kills the vine markers?
-
The Idol specifies that it only affects creatures on the card text, so the Vine Markers are unaffected, as are the living conjurations cast by a Druid.
-
It really just means that the druid needs to use his vine markers to cast a creature that can quickly get to the idol and destroy it or it will severely hurt the Druid.
-
Since almost all of druids creatures have regeneration, and conjurations don't get hit by the Idol, and the Druid herself can use Lifebond and/or Regeneration her self she is actually one of the mages least effected by the idol. Not to mention that she can toss out a renewing rain from time to time to area heal the arena too.
Idol is a bigger threat to mages like Warlord or Beastmaster swarms who have low health and don't have the benefit self healing.
-
Idol of pest is in my druids book because of the regent on all plants
-
I think, a bigger threat for Druid is when Necromancer cast Idol of Pestilence and Deathlock.
Druid's plant and creatures cannot heal or regenerate.
-
Yeah, forget the idol; Deathlock alone is a major threat. The Druid's creatures trade armor for regeneration, so shutting down the regeneration is like removing the armor from another mage's creatures.
