Nonsense:
How is the mana gain calculated if the casting cost of the sacrificed creature is uneven?

MW usually rounds up. (see, for instance, the Vampiric trait)

Kelanen:
More precisely, I'd say it rounds to the nearest whole number - so yes 0.5 rounds up.
