Hello!
I just wanted to thank everyone for all of the feedback for this first public play testing. So we have two pieces of art that have no cards created for it yet. We know what it looks like, but I was hoping we could all vote every week to slowly decide as a group what this card will look like. So for the first week here are the images and here are the poll questions!
Card 1

Card 2

The obvious answer would probably be to make them both creature spells, but I think card 1 presents an excellent opportunity to create a card that gives Intercept to a creature. This would obviously be pretty powerful, so it needs to be somewhat costly. With the introduction of Elementalist we will see an increase in attack spells thrown around, so I think it would be a good addition.
My pitch:
"Bulwark of Steel", level 2 war enchantment, 2/7 mana
target: Living, non-mage, non-pest creature
This card can only be revealed when you have Priority. While guarding, this creature gains Armor+2 and Intercept.
V2 (Credit Juli):
"Bulwark of Faith", level 2 holy enchantment, 2/7 mana
target: Living, non-mage, non-pest creature
This card can only be revealed when you have Priority. While guarding, this creature gains Aegis 1 and Intercept.
Upon further review, the Guardian Angel is just better than using the above enchantment in almost every case. I suggest the incantation below instead.
Incantation:
6 or 7 mana
This creature gains Aegis 2 and Intercept until the end of the round.

First of all, the art on both of these is great. :)
I like Keejchen's suggestions, but I think promoting intercept is a dangerous thing, especially when we are trying to make the game shorter. I also cannot picture the art on these cards belonging on an enchantment.
Thematically, it makes sense to me to either have both cards be in the Holy school or have card one in War and card two in Holy. The second could be connected both to Pillar of Righteous Flame and to Valshalla, I suppose. Sort of like a Holy Avenger personified.
Any sort of math or card specific text eludes me at present, but this project seems to be very interesting, indeed.
Keep up the great work.

The second one is a Fallen Angel.
Dark 3.
12 mana
Flame -2; flying
Flaming sword: melee 3 dice. Burn 8+
Armour 2 life 12
Essentially a pocket version of Adramelech.
-
First one is a one time enchantment. Reveal to redirect an attack against another object in the zone onto yourself. Then discard.

I think that the flail is too cool to not make it a creature.
For card 2 I really think that it could be an fire incantation that can only target major legendary angels, since all level 5 angels are weak and could use a buff. Like one idea could be:
Divine killer (more like the vine killer)
Range 0-2, quick action, target legendary angel, level 1 fire, 4 mana
Target gains double strike, piercing +2 and the fire damage type on their next melee attack.
It could also just be less crazy and just have the angel make an 8 dice fire attack.

Art's too centered on the creatures to not make them creatures.
For the first, I'd go Dark/War...like a Death Knight type thing from D&D.
For the second, I'd go Holy/Fire...I know the level 5 angels don't get a lot of play but you already have a lightning, air, and light so I'd go with something like Righteous Angel.

I'd be wary of a potential duel school card. Those tend to be hard to use.

Card 1 could easily be a new creature but I could also see it being any number of enchantments also. As Keejchen mentioned it could be Aegis/Intercept/+Armor. I could also see it being a more expensive longer lasting brace yourself. It could also be a more expensive, more specific gear up incantation that provides a shield, chest and weapon.
Card 2 could be another Angel but hopefully one people would use and potentially as Arkdeniz says a dark Angel. I could also see it as an attack spell. Holy/Light spell with a chance to leave burn markers. Purging strike/Wrath Strike that will burn the evil out of something.
-
Another option for Card 1:
“Not One Step Back”
Enchantment
Dissipate 2 or 3.
This creature gains the Immovable, Vigilant and Intercept traits.
-
That's gotta be an expensive enchantment Arkdeniz, but I like the idea of adding Immovable and making it temporary.
I also really hope we can make the angel anything other than Holy (they do not need more good creatures), I really like the idea of dark/fire school "fallen angel" to make them specifically for warlocks (I think they need the most help).

I agree Holy doesn't really need more great creatures. The Warlocks, though? They are doing great! Araxian is easily the best mage in the game. Fire and curses? Let's go!

I still think Holy should have decent access to that card...maybe Fire/Dark or Holy/Dark. The angel motif is strong and I'd actually be interested in an art piece if they were to ever do art of all the level 5 angels, if this was included.

Here is my desire for flaming sword art with angel. It will be a lvl 2 equipment enchantment for weapons. It would give warlocks, holy, and monk in school ways to deal with various threats. Having lots of flexibility. Cost and level may need change for balance.
Imbued weapon
Weapon gains flame trait and a 7+ to burn
When declaring an attack this Weapon May gain additional traits by paying one mana each: unavoidable, ethereal, reach
Cantrip
Lvl 2 holy or fire: subtype light, fire, martial
0-2 target weapon, 2 hidden 2 reveal

On a second look at the picture, I think I see the Gate to Hell artwork in the background.

I see that the voting already closed but our household gives an unofficial vote for creature for both 1 and 2. Great art for both, i'm excited to see what we come up with.
