the idea to stop the enemy with the long distance until Anvil Throne is ready for the battle...

turn 1: (18Mana) QC: Barracks(12), Move +  Archer's Watchtower (4)
turn 2: (11Mana) Barracks (2)- No Spell, Mage:  QC: Meditation Amulet (4) + Meditate (+3) 
turn 3: (19Mana) Barracks (4) cast Anvil Throne Crossbowman (11-4= -7) Mage QC: Armony (10) + Meditation
turn 4: (14 Mana) Barracks (3) - No Spell, Mage QC: Battle Forge (8) +  + Meditation; Anvil Throne Crossbowman shot if able.
turn 5: (18 Mana) Barracks (6) - Thorg, Chief Bodyguard (17-6= -11), Battleforge (1): Battle Helm of command (3) with Rouse the Beast linked; Mage QC: activate Rouse the Beast (-4) +  + Meditation(+3); Anvil Throne Crossbowman shot/ Thorg, Chief Bodyguard move or guard.

Maybe too slow...Mana issues?

That first book looks pretty solid. I will say there's a certain joy to chucking Hurl Boulder at people. I'd play it a couple times and see what's working and what isn't. I go for the Reflex Boots over the bracers myself.

[mwcard=MW1I23]Rouse the Beast[/mwcard] is not a command spell, so you can't bind it to the helm. I recommend binding [mwcard=MWSTX2FFI06]Defend[/mwcard] instead; it works nicely with a strong bodyguard like Thorg.

let us know how this worked out ! i'm so curious to know how people manage to get talos out...i find it very difficult to have and maintain 3 outposts before getting killed...you have to spend so much mana and energy on those conjs that a moderate aggro mage can kill you while you are installing all your stuff...

i played an almost similar warlord a couple of times, and i always get beaten by more aggro mages...but that's maybe me not adapting to the situation quickly enough... :(

my idea for a next match would be t1 : construct yard + battleforge( as always) and afterwards wait and see what's the opponent's scenario...if aggro, i would aggro back, by getting armour and weapons on myself. If he's  using spawnpoint, i would immediately attack it to cut his resources !

A match report would be very cool !  ;)

Talos isn't meant to be used against aggressive builds; he's meant to be used against books that build up some. 3 Turns of waiting against a mage that is rolling 7+ dice  is a long time, so you'd be better off getting more armor, a defense, and an Iron Golem.

When I play a against warlord build I try to take out the Barracks as quickly as possible. Last week I played as the druid against the new warlord. On turn 4 I had destroyed the barracks and the Garrison post. and on turn 7 my Corrosive Orchid destroyed his Construction Yard. There was no chance that Talos was ever going to survive.

If I even have the slightest inkling a person is thinking about dropping a Talos I immediately shift focus on the Outposts.

This is fear to Talos? Sounds good....if you  focus un outpost you will not focus on my mage neither in the creatures but they will ficus on you...otherwise Talos will came... Both options sounds go... However i need to play It more... ;-)
