Inaccurate. I know for a fact several members on the forums and on OCTGN identify as female. You just assume they are male because they never explicitly state their gender. They never explicitly state it, because it doesn't matter.

I never said there were no females on OCTGN. I know that there are women that love this kind of stuff without the influence of a partner. I was just pointing out that a poll might give a biased view.

For the same reason she plays MW with me, I watch romantic comedy movies in and outside the cinema. I would rather go to lets say The Avengers, but I know she loves that and I can enjoy them too.  :)

I think many girlfriends/wives play mage wars. (like mine)
They don't play on OCTGN or comment on the forum, but they do exist.   ;)

I wouldn't consider them hard-core fans, but they do enjoy the game, and that's what it's all about.

Since fif I feel the warlord is viable... you have the dispell/ teleport handicap but you can manage that problem.

Many different creatures, very strong earth magic, amazing equipment, conjurations, command spells ...

They are good but not amazing. How I understand it, the bonus is only once.

with the bonus compared to the bitterwood fox:
both canine, both 3 attack dice, both 5 mana, both level 1
Hound: 7 life + 1 armor
fox: 5 life + fast

With the bonus he is slightly better, without slightly definitaly worse. For the amazing artwork alone and the better fit with wolves I would use them.

The pet hound is a very strong cheap creature. 7 mana for 3-5 attack dice. 1-2 armor, 10 life.
add the combined strength and for an additional 3 mana you have an extra die and 1 less damage to the hound.
another die for the knife. (4 mana).

In total for 4 spells and 19 mana (starting value) (2x creatures, knife, enchantment) you have:
-the very durable pet hound with 7 attack dice
-The beastmaster attacking with 4 attack dice
- The weaker hound

I can see a very strong rush strategy here. ^^

maybe something like:
19 run 1 + beast ring(2) + Pet hound (6) 11
20 run 2 +  hound(4)   16
25 Redclaw (15) + hound (5) 5

From here on, totems + knife + attacking maybe an occasional enchantment.

There are many spoilers in the video! It's hard to read but here is what I could make out of it.

1) Leather Chausses (equipment): armor +1 for 2 mana, pants are a new thing!

2)  Joined Strength (enchantment): target: animal creature, 2+1 mana, This creature gains melee +1. Whenever this creature is attacked and receives damage, you must transfer 1 of that damage to your mage instead. If this creature is destroyed, you may pay 1 mana to move Joined Strength to a new target in your zone.

3) Wynchwood hound  (creature). Level 1 canine, 5 mana. 0 armor, 7 life. quick attack of 2 dice. While wynchwood hound is in the same zone as 1 or more friendly wynchwood hounds it gains melee +1 and armor +1

4) Slavorg Fang of the first moon (creature). level 4 (sabertooth!!!) cat: 15 mana, 2 armor, 13 life. 4 attack dice, +2 piercing. Legendary, epic, BM only. it costs 2 mana less for each animal creature in your discard pile. at the end of his activation you may pay 2 mana to place a guard token on him. (What an incredible tank!  ;D)

5) this blue guy, cannot read at 1 minute

6) ... gremlin. costs 4 mana, 3 attack dice, cannot read the ability

7) ..cated cockattice(?) 2dice + d12   effect: something with melee +1 and piercing +1

I was only confused with the attack. The skinlike shield is a weak explanation. This would require unlimited concentration and control. If she could do that, she would be some mega archmage  :P

Not that I really care, it is really a minor thing and you would need a lot of errata to fix it. Thanks for the fast and thorough answers!   :)

Explode is a incantation. Any thing that prevents an attack, (Like block, or daze or Forcefield) Explode can bypass. Its one of the few exceptions.

Is this correct? I've read multiple answers on the forum.

I would say that it isn't correct according to the rules, But it is logically.

But those spell tomes aren't really worth its money. Lots of cards I don't want extra and a measly 1 extra card for the cards I want 3 extra's of.  :-\

Core + 4 expansions are already a huge investment in one game. (but worth it  ;D )

You don't like your opponent to know how many dispels you have based on the remaining ones in the box? That's like counting cards at a casino. You will have a jist or how many of X are where(he has ~1-2 dispels left), but if you are keeping track(like going through the whole arcane pile to count how many dispels and teleports I have), then you are being a cheater-face and I will call you on it.

I kinda disagree. It takes only a few games to realise there are only 3 teleports, 2 flameblasts, 1 pair of gloves, 1 staff of asyra, 1 gorgon archer, 2 battle forges, etc... You cannot not know. It is really unfair when you have 2 teleports, your opponent teleports once and you realise, now I can pin him down.

We solved this problem by just remembering how many extra cards you take if there aren't enough of them. If possible, we take them out of the discard pile during the game. This can help as long as you don't do it too much. For the falcon deck mentioned above it is too annoying. (If you're playing a childish cheater, you could write it down  :) )

For example Beastmaster vs. Warlock: I want an extra teleport, then I take a divine intervention and remember: this is a teleport.

General Discussion / Re: Test your Skills... That's not a Knife...

Cool knife, I do think it will overshadow the staff of beasts though. Much less mana needed and, more importantly, no qc needed for the +1 melee.
