Not at all. Thanks a lot for an insightful view of hoodwink. That was very helpful.

I was thinking in the same direction, but also concerning equipment.  I was thinking about spells that could trigger the armor ward, so that you don't have to use two crumbles. Hoodwink and armor ward come to my mind. Is it correct that hoodwink would be cancelled without effect and put into the discard pile in this context?

Perfect. Thanks a lot to both of you.

Rules Discussion / non-mage object
« on: August 28, 2015, 12:53:03 AM »
I am wondering what a non-mage object is (arcane ward,  hoodwink). Can I only not target the mage itsself or can it also not target the equipment of a mage? Thanks.

Ok, let me start then. Regarding joined strength I think that is an awesome card. The transfer of damage is no downside at all. It helps to keep the animal/pet alive. Beside of that, any hit against this animal/pet is not a hit against the mage directly. So I am quite happy to take 1 point of damage instead of the full blow against the mage.

Thanks for the great videos. They are awesome. Can't wait to see the playthrough of academy.

Great reviews - both.

I love the vidoes. But I also love the written reviews. They also give a great posibility to stroll through the cards.

Keep up the great work.

Spellbook Design and Construction / Re: The Elemental Lord
« on: August 03, 2015, 12:57:10 PM »
I like this very thematic spellbook. On the octgn tournament it was a lot of fun watching you. I think you did a very good job. Especially in the second half of most of the games. I must admit I was a little bit sad that you did not use the fire elemental against the zombies in the last match. That would have been fun.

I think one of the earth elementals is enough. That alone gives space for 10 spellpoints.

One question: you don't have a wizard tower included. Is this because of thematical reasons. Gameplaywise it should be a plus.

also did you consider to use a battle forge? Sometimes it seemed you were a little bit action-starved.

Any chance of getting the rules posted as todays spoiler?  That would be awesome.

From what have been said so far I think card count for level 1 will be 3. Compare with the max. strength for steelclaw matriach with her cubs.

Spellwise this "expansion" is much more appealing to me than  domination. What  I have seen so far is perfect. On top you get a mage wars version that can be played in 20-30 minutes. What could one wish more for? That expansion exceeds so far my expectations - and by the way those have been quite high. So congratulations to the whole Arcane Wonders team including the playtesters. Great work!

It is very hard to read, so voting on something that you do not know is kind of difficult. That said I would like to see an attack next. "Arcane missiles", when I read it correct, sounds interesting.

Great spoiler again. Also enjoyed the video very much that was posted on facebook. Hope some tech-freaks of the community will post pictures of the spoilers from there. Those look great as well, e.g. wychwood hound, stavoy king of the ..., joined strength.

One question remains.
Will there be a frost condition in academy?  ;)
