I dont do Necromancer that much, so let me be a Priest. (last activity here in 2015)

Will Arcane Wonders be present at Essen this year? I completly missed Mr. Pope in 2015 and in 2014 there was only Pegasus Spiel :)

+1 (though I met Mr. Pope last year)   8)

The Garrison Post is the old/uncorrected one (after the patch).

I love all of those ideas and would emphasize on codex and FAQ and different languages (German being my personal wish).

I know, but I definitly want both a second time to have both preconstructed Warlords at the same time, and a third time to build at least one Warlock of my own (better yet a forth time so I can buid both in addition to the preconstructed).   8)

In future OP Kits we have alternate art Teleport, Rhino Hide, and Bear Strength.

Great!

And I vote for Falcon, Standard Bearer and Barracks next, then Regrowth Belt, Leather Boots and Gloves   8) ;D

So, where are you based Master Rupert

I am living in Germany (Marburg at the moment, Freiburg waiting).

I totally second this. As local organiser of OP and someone wanting to spread the love for Mage Wars, I tried to have all of the preconstructed books as well as two or three own builds prepared. Sadly there is several cards missing, the Thunderrift Falcon being really annoying as even with two Cores and one of each Tomes you lack one if you want to build a Beastmaster with six Falcons.

I would love the idea of being able to buy single cards. Or preconstructed books. Or a third Tome with cards like Barracks, Falcon, Standard Bearer, Teleport, Regrowth Belt, ...
Or maybe those cards (with alternative artwork?) for OP Kits?

as has already been pointed out, losing life is NOT Offset by regenerating as it is not (per se) damage...
I really think about using him together with a Sunfire Amulet to take only half the disadvantage.

Anyway, whether I play him or not, I do like him!   8)

do not forget the channelling in the first round. So you actually have 19 mana available during your first turn, which makes (among other possibilities) a Lair an option.

But Sardonyx does cost twice the spell book points as Andy does...

...  Sure you could carry two Andy cards for the same SB points...

Andramalech costs (the Warlock) 6 to Sardonyx's cost of 8, and a Necromancer has to pay 8 for both.  8)

So Armor +2 is better against lots of dice because you may get multiple non-crit ones? But even at 8 dice, the chances of getting two non-crit 1s is worse than the chances of getting a crit 2 somewhere in there. I'd rather cancel out the crit 2, especially if the defending creature already has some armor.

I can't fight the feeling (from other posts as well), that you use Aegis the wrong way. It removes a die before rolling, so there is no way to say beforehand, what result the die you protected yourself against will be. So no "in the case you roll a non-crit 2, the Aegis 1 will cancel that out anyway".

The statement I would sign is the one saying Aegis is better on creatures with some armor  8)

I started with the Warlock and was looking forward to playing the Necromancer (for thematic reasons, I like to be evil in games  ;D).

Turns out I like the Druid much more though...  8)

General Questions / Re: Tainted

so, if I didn't misinterprete something, Tainted also triggers Bloodthirsty, which seems thematically wrong to me...  :o

Spellbook Design and Construction / Re: Kumanjaro starter spellbooks
« on: September 19, 2013, 06:55:28 AM »
no, sadly you are correct. I also keep the starter spellbooks to give new players the opportunity to try the game before they buy it (...and I KNOW they will buy it)...   ;)

One samll point though: It seems you haven't adjusted the new Beastmaster, which is supposed to field another Thunderdrift Falcon instead of one of the Feral Bobcats, making it two less than necessary for both of them.

By the way, I would love to have the opportunity to buy the starter spellbooks alone, so I can keep my "support books for newbies" and still use all of the cards my my own builds without to much of an investment.  8)

I second this   8)
