So i just got Mordok´s Tome and ill give it a try Next time i play.
Mana cost: 5. Quick spell. Range 0-2. Mage. Arcane 1
Legendary * Arcane Mage Only
"Mage may choose one additional spell during the palnning Phase. This gives him an additional spell choise each round (it does not give him an additional spell action)"
Im thinking that [mwcard=MW1I06]Dispel[/mwcard] and [mwcard=MW1I28]Teleport[/mwcard] seems like solid choises for that extra spell.
Any thoughts on this?

What body slot does it take ?
Sounds like an alternative Mage Wand, allowing the mage to technically equip two Mage Wands.
The Mage wand is better in the sense that you keep your used spell.
The Tome loses the spell but is more flexible in that you can pick another spell every turn.

It takes a staff/shield slot.

[mwcard=MW1I24]Seeking Dispel[/mwcard] is my favorite for a "free" floating spell.

Its a crazy useful card to have.
Arcane Zap gives Wizard a "prepared" attack spell option even if one isnt in his hand.
Mordoks Tome adds a third option to the Wizard's spell-prep.
Add in a Wizard's Tower or Huugin (or a Gate to Voltari/Battle Forge), and you have an overwhelming number of ways you can play out a round simply by having so many bankable spells..3 in hand, ranged attack ability, plus familiar/spawnpoint options.
The biggest thing to note on the Tome is that its Legendary..so in Wizard vs Wizard match ups, there is pressure to play it early.

Ah yes, the Tome of Teleport.

Hi all!
Mi opinion; Wizard is, today, the most powerful of all the Mages.
I started playing MW with the Priestess and her fantastic "Guardian Angels".
Buy in November, I started using the "Banker Blaster", and he is amazing.
So, add a "Novice" trait to this object, to give this tactical advantage to
all the players / Mages, or simply our "Gandalf" will be unbeatable.

Hm... that would make it a no-brainer, and I'm afraid that would make it boring. However, I agree that it would skyrocket the Wizard into a sphere of near-unbeatability (man, isn't that guy flexible/powerful enough already?). The third spell option is extremely valuable because it allows you more flexibility in the two actions which are most powerful/flexible anyway: your Mage's actions. I cannot think of any Mage who would not want this for 5 mana and 1-3 spellbook points.
Long story short: I hope this card will never enter official play - an essential part of Mage Wars, in my opinion, is the challenge that you can only prepare two spells; admittedly, there are some tools which help you (wands, spawnpoints), but they appear way more limited (position, cost, application) to me than this tome.

I´ve been using Mordok´s Tome a few times now. Mostly when i try to push people throug a Wall of Thorns/Bloodspine Wall, the its nice to have a third spell prepared in case you´ll have to give up on the WoT plan.
Mordok´s Tome still takes a slot and an action to cast, but compared to a Mage Wand/Elemental Wand i just value having "unlimited" spells instead.

What happens if it gets dissolved? does the extra spell go back to your spellbook, get destroyed, or stay prepared (but you can't prepare another next round). It looks like the third, but I'm not sure.
-
It would go back to your book at end of round. It's still considered in your hand. Otherwise how do you determine which of the players cards is the extra one.

FWIW, I have to agree with this... the Tome only affects spell preparation. It doesn't say anything about being required to maintain the extra spell that already has been prepared.

Third.
The book gives the wizard another prepared spell each round, and once it is prepared follows all the normal rules for prepared spells.
