Why Lost Grimoire is out in Gerrmany, but not in US?
My understanding was that the original ETA for the English/USA edition was around the same time as the Academy expansions (e.g. spring 2016) but something went wrong in production and it was rescheduled to December/January 2016/2017. My best guess is that the production problem may have been caught and corrected before printing the German edition, so its schedule wasn't delayed.
Glad to see a lot of my favourite existing promos becoming legal. e.g. Both Fire Elemental AND Magma Golem!! Gloves of Skill!! Wall of Poison Gas! Chitin Armor! Vorpal Blade! Spiked Buckler! Ballista (War only; unique)!
Other highlights:
- Mind's Eye = Mind conjuration (for the Forcemaster) that can be the source of your Thoughtspore's spells, allowing for better protection of them (e.g. they don't need to be in line of sight or close to their target, and they don't have to worry about Reverse Attack/Redirect, etc).
- Hunting Spear... like a stronger Karajah but it acts more like a ranged attack spell with Cantrip, sort of... Except it doesn't cost you any mana the
last time you use it. It would be like having an Elemental Wand that you can throw at your opponent for one last (free) attack if you choose not to use it anymore.
- Woolly Rhinoceros - A slightly cheaper Nature-school version of Titanodon... but with built-in Cheetah Speed (e.g. it isn't Slow, but isn't Fast either) and Lion Savagery (e.g. Piercing and Charge +2) - which was something I was already considering doing to its elephant cousin. Nifty!!
- Altar of Infernia. Holy $%*&! This is basically an Arena-wide Debilitate (promo) for 7 mana. Cast it and Adramelech or the demon that hands out Weak tokens or something similar and watch everybody squirm. Really nasty!! My Forcemaster doesn't like this at all!!
By the way, "Demonic Bloodlust" (translated from German?) is an existing English promo called
Bloodthirsty Strike, which can be seen at this link.
