That depends, of course, on the final printed rules for terrain.  :)
I can take the fun out of anything. It's true; here, look at this spreadsheet.

To quote the Conquer preview, "Terrain is a new kind of conjuration we’re working on, even though Terrain did not make it into Forged in Fire, it will be out soon."

Omg, yes. Since the card doesnt say Non-Terrain Conjuration, we must assume that his ability will trigger if he guard a zone with a Dark Terrain Conjuration! He gonna be amazing!

This would be awesome. And highly thematic. Guess we'll have to wait and see!

It's basically impossible to judge this card outside of the context of the expansion it's going to be released in, and even then it might be difficult depending on further expansions.

Soo, for right now, I feel like the only judgement you can really pass on it is that it looks cool.

I think with the new game mode (domination) that cerberus would be awesome

Buuuut, will be those orbs a dark conjuration? My guess is not :)

If cerberus will be a cool creature together with "terrain-conjurations", why putting him into FiF where will be no terrain conjurations?

Sleep, knockdown, teleport, tangelvine or stuck and he is a expensive 3 dice puppy again. If i want to protect something, i rather put a wall around it :)

I agree, that if we dont know the full range of new dark cards, we cant judge his efficiency on battlefield buuuuut defensive creature in Warlocks spellbook will be something rare in my area :)

Sure... But sleep is already invented. So is teleport. The problem with this card is that it costs 17 mana and its 17 badly invested mana unless you invest further into a dark conjuration.

Thats alot of mana for the opponent to spend on sleep, teleport, tanglevine and push (push work vs another target you want to focus down.)

Its pretty obvious to everyone... Fighting this dog on its own terms is a guaranteed loss - so it has to be worked around somehow.

If it had some decent FA such as 3 dice pierce +1 double strike then it could be decent at attacking and good at defending when needed.

In its current state: When this dog starts attacking the game is already won.

One thing makes me wonder, why only dark conjuration... there must be a time during designing process, when something must get realy OP and so they have to nerf this defender class creature. So, is there some kind of offensive dark conjuration which will benefit from this combo?

As far as I know its just a theme/flavor choice rather than a response to any particular combo.

I think it is to limit its use without adding Dark Mage Only.

A druid or soon warlord would have kinda auto included him if he would get it from non-dark conjuration.

I am fully aware of its mythological status.... but i still canot get a "cerberus guarding warlords tank" combo from my head. :)

I am not a warlock person but FiF somehow forced me to start building a spellbook. I will definetly give him a chance to prove me wrong about how i see him now.

Most theories didnt survive their first contact with reality. :)

Boocheck did you have to bring up the horrible pain of seeing a tank, then being told we're getting no tank? The wounds were just starting to heal.

How would Cerberus work with wall of bones? Its a dark conjuration, but walls aren't in zones.  I take it they wouldn't synergise?

Since it's not in the zone, it wouldn't boost Cerberus.
