but surely the effects of Seeking wouldnt happen because:

Jinx is played on a creature... then later on:

1. Seeking is cast on Jinx so it cannot be revealed - during cast step
2. Jinx is activated - during counter step
3. Seeking Dispell now has an invalid target??? - during the Seeking Dispell resolve step??

so in essence the seeking dispell does nothing as jinx is now face up and active in the game because Jinx got revealed between the casting of Seeking Dispel and the resolving of Seeking Dispel??

well thats the conclusion ive come to...despite not having even seen the cards wordings yet XD - my copy is on its way as of now :(...its taking too long XD

well there could be two levels of the card - a cheap one that gets discarded regardless if there was a card in the slot you selected and a higher cost one that returns to your had if you choose an empty slot. Well from my experiences of card holders having one card per sleeve is best otherwise the cards start to get ruined too quickly...however if people do choose to put multiple cards in one slot then the "discard from slot X" mechanic can discard them all XD.......or just one of them lol

What about in the online store having a section that allows us gamers to select X number of cards to construct our own Mage Tome?? esspecially with the new Mages that are coming out, so say the Forcemaster box have all of the new Forcemaster cards in that box, then the dude purchasing the Forcemaster box can choose another 20 or 30 points of cards from previous sets??

That way people can choose not to get duplicates of cards they already have.

Just a thought :)

the nightmare idea is one of my favourites so far :)

how about a mechanic of selecting a specific page in the opponents spellbook and card location to force them to discard that card or something?.... You: page 3, card 4, say bye bye...Opponent: NOOOO!!! MY THINGY!! XD

That would be good, it'l essentially be the starter pack minus the cards and rules. What I'd like to see is multicoloured expansions so that if necessary new players could pretty much create their own starter box, so they would get two 'player expansion' sets (that's if each set only contains a single colour etcetera), separate rules and that's about it.........oh oh oh will the player expansions include similar coloured dice?.... that'l cool XD

it would be interesting if the promo cards were of soon to come spells, however the new set that the promo card comes in would have to be fully tested so as to balance the promo out with the new stuff....could have a super special style promo and have it so that there's a competition for mage wars art work and the mage wars team could choose the best to made into the promo...maybe...???

p.s. I'm pants at awesome art, so there's no hope for me there XD

how about as many as a spellbook can use of a particular school and type of card... such as arcane attack spells, or nature enchantments etcetera, that way it balances how many different boxes that need to be produced while still giving maximum cards that can be used in a spellbook.....well that's my opinion on that idea anyway

i seem to remember reading somewhere that promo cards would be special versions of existing cards from the starter box, just different artwork is about it i suppose, however the game play of the card wont change

As for now 2 others ive introduced Mage Wars to are interested in playing Beastmaster and Warlock, so if i can get them together when i get my copy then il probably be the wizard and have a 3 way intro game....getting tome aswell so spellbooks should be ok with restricted to own schools trained in XD well for our intro games anyway lol

rather than just what people think are the most necessary cards how about the maximum number of cards that you can have of each type of card that way people only need to purchase 1 box to get all the cards they need for a particular school?

I've always liked the idea of a fire or earth mage, however a healy warlock, or a damage priestess intrigues me hehehe, or maybe a beastmaster of wall summoning........ il have to se how the game works best for me once i get my copy

another thought I've had is would there be cards available for male and female of the same type of mage? just so players can choose their mage's gender...just because they want to? I can't see it being too difficult as all it would be is to add another single card or two to each box?
