Post by: ArcaneDuels on January 08, 2016, 12:44:53 PM
Reveal #3!

Enough with the creatures! Let's see some curses! This is a Warlock after all!

Curse of Decay! (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5w19Qn4IUtI&feature=youtu.be)

The forces of dark always have a trick up their sleave, even if that sleeve has been decayed  :P
What do you folks think!?

Interesting.  Does direct damage that isn't poison type, and the target can be any Minor Corporeal creature (e.g. doesn't specify Living)... meaning it works against undead (e.g. skeletons and zombies).  It's a nifty way to get around the "infinite armour" of Resilient creatures. *edit* LOL, just started watching the actual video(vs jumping ahead just to see the card) and that's the first application Coshade and Intangible mention, so... I guess my idea is kinda obvious.

As for Academy, it's great against Jade Gremlin.

but but... fire demon??  :'(

Can someone explain the difference between decay and rot? (english-wise)
Because google gives me the same translation and I'm not sure what the difference is.

In English, rot usually refers to biological decay of organic matter - e.g. rotting wood or rotting food.  Decay is more general - e.g. might include corrosion of metal or other inorganic matter, or like a type of passive erosion, for instance, a house "falling into decay" because of lack of maintenance.  In dentistry, cavities are due to "tooth decay," but you could also say the patient has "rotten teeth" since it is generally a biological process (caused by plaque).

Thanks for the explanation. I thought it was something like that but you explain it even better!  :D

The meta will definitely change with all these "minor creature" target spells. Minor creatures will be easier to buff but will also die much easier because of spells like this.

I could see a [mwcard=MWSTX1CKC02]Dire Wolf[/mwcard] being preferred over a timber wolf solely because it is level 3 now. Very cool way to shake things up..

I would be quite suprise, if Warlock package doesnt have any minor Demon that would make your day :) just be patient and have faith :)

I noticed that You keep saying "priestess vs warlock" when those two aren't going to be in one box (imagine what would they do when nobody would watch :P ). There's going to be separate Priestess set and Warlock set.

Or you kill them with something unavoidable  ;)
But I love the card. Nice Curse for many situations.

Only Arcane Missiles is unavoidable for the moment and you can only have 2 of them. :P

You have to target 3 different creatures with Arcane Missiles.

Target is: 1-3 Creatures or Conjurations

Not 3 Creatures or Conjurations

Card text:

You may make this attack against up to 3 different targets in the same zone. Damage from this attack is critical (ignores armor). Roll for each attack separately.

As far as I can tell, these are 3 separate attacks that you target 3 times one for each missile.

Interesting.  I had assumed that you only got 2 dice against 1 creature and you got 2,2 against 2 creatures and 2,2,2 against 3 creatures.  Whoops!  Much better card now :D

Sike, It's not entirely clear by the text but kinda sure you are wrong.  ???
If this was the case this would be way to strong to kill low health-high armor creatures

I'm sorry for the confusion sIKE. That attack is not meant to attack the same target twice. Thanks for pointing this out.

So just to be clear, you can only attack each target once.

Well,  I'm happy I read the card correctly and less happy that it's not as silly strong as I was recently led to believe. :D

You got it wrong. It allow you make this attack on 1, 2 or 3 targets, not "You may make 3 times this attack [...]".

While we are at it... since this is not a zone attack, +Ranged works on it... but does it only apply to the first target only or the three targets?

Ranged bonuses only apply to the first "shot".
