Academy Written Review
« on: August 15, 2015, 12:01:16 AM »
So I'm back with another review, this time of Academy.

Part 1 -->HERE<--

Part 2 -->HERE<--

Part 3 -->HERE<--

In part 1 I introduce Academy, talk about what comes in the box, and try explaining how to play (although the Arcane Wonders videos put me to shame in that regard).

We then move onto the two new Mages introduced in this set and talk about the equipment and attack spell cards that come in Academy.

I had to do some quick changes at the end but wanted to get this out as soon as I could so everybody could see it. That being said, there may be some mistakes, so feel free to let me know if you find any  :)

Great reviews - both.

I love the vidoes. But I also love the written reviews. They also give a great posibility to stroll through the cards.

Keep up the great work.

Once nice thing about Arcane Missiles that should be mentioned is that the critical damage is nice against Zombie swarms.

That's a very good point! It can absolutely destroy those guys.

Part 2 has been posted. In it, I take a look at the incantations and enchantments of Academy.

The next part, part 3, will take a look at the creatures in this set. There are quite a few of them  ::)

cool video.

But how can you dispel that exile if the creature is out of the arena?

You cannot. That was a slight mistake made by Intangible.

With all those extra minor enchantments cards like:

- Asyran defender
- infernian scourger
- Orc butcher
- timber wolf

will become much better! (awesome)

A giant sized [mwcard=MW1C05]Blue Gremlin[/mwcard] doesn't lose his pest?

And believe me, it's a good thing, too. There are some pests that were never meant to block.
I can take the fun out of anything. It's true; here, look at this spreadsheet.

yeah.. I figured balance was the reason.  :D

For realism I would say they would lose it, but it could be too strong.

The final part of the review is up. In it, I take a look at the creatures of Mage Wars Academy.

There are some awesome ones in there. I also talk about my final thoughts about Academy at the end.
