Title: New Spellbook Builder beta with DvN cards
Post by: pixelgeek on January 16, 2014, 09:15:14 PM
Hi folks

I have finished posting a new beta of the SBB in its new home on the forum server.

You can now find the Spellbook Builder at:

http://forum.arcanewonders.com/sbb/

Changes
• Now includes the DvN cards and the Druid and Necromancer
• Fixes for all bugs reported so far
• New preview window which is also moveable
• Less code. There have been some extraneous code removed as I have simplified the preview system
• Preview window now has a field that lets you copy and paste the forum BBCode for the previewed spell
• Cards in preview are larger
• Wall and Fog Bank cards now display horizontally and in a larger size

Found a bug? Please post a report (http://forum.arcanewonders.com/index.php?topic=13222.0). Have a suggestion? Please post it as well (http://forum.arcanewonders.com/index.php?topic=13223.0)

Let me know what you think. Thanks!

This may seem like a silly question but once I've clicked on a card and it's image comes up, how do I get it to go away?

You must click in the [X] in the top right corner.

Top right x works for me...

Looks awesome Pixel - a lot going on on a smaller laptop screen, but still functional.  This is probably the opposite of all the other feedback about closing down the images when clicked - and it is way cleaner with one image replacing the other - but is there a way to hold one card open while I view another?  Kinda thinking of those times when I'm weighing options... ?  I guess like a hold feature.

Its something that I can look at after we have the final version shipped. Certainly would be useful :-)

Nice work. Any plans on making this into a mobile app?

Not at the moment. It would need a whole different UI for starters. The size of the data display would almost require a tablet at least.

Might be possible to make a card browser for mobile though

I'd still rather the opposite. There were a few threads back a few months where the request was around something like a pdf of the cards.  Essentially some way to browse cards without your set.  I'd really prefer a way to do this that didn't involve being tethered to the internet.
