Steal equipment

If you steal an equipment then swap the equipment you stole does it go back to your spell book or get discarded.

Page 20 of the rulebook, when you replace equipment the old one goes back to its owners spell book.

no. ownership means who brings the card in their spellbook. if you steal someones equipment, you arent literally claiming ownership of that physical card from them. you give it back at the end of the match cuz they own it.

Control is different than Ownership.

Control is who is using the ability of the card. Owning is who brought the card to the game.
