Title: Honor the Soliders
Post by: Sabrath_Kell on November 11, 2015, 11:41:46 AM
In honor of Veteran’s Day in the US, here’s a few interesting “Soldier” FAQs:

• Total number of Soldiers currently printed: 28

• Number of Soldiers with Ranged attack: 9
• Number of Legendary Soldiers: 9
• Only Nature school Soldier: Bridge Troll
• Only Academy Soldier: Satyr Gruff
• Only Soldier to have only a single subtype: Sir Corazin
• Race with the most Soldiers: TIE, 6 Dwarf, 6 Goblin
• Solider with the most forms of attack: Goblin Alchemist
• Soldier with the lowest Casting Cost: Goblin Grunt (4 mana)
• Solider with the highest Casting Cost: Thorg, Chief Bodyguard (17 mana)
• Solider with the highest single roll of Attack dice: Grimson Deadeye, Sniper (6 Dice)
• Soldier with the lowest number of Attack dice: TIE Goblin Builder and Goblin Alchemist (2 Dice)
• Solider with the most Armor: TIE Brogan Bloodstone and Thorg, Chief Bodyguard (4 Armor)
• Soldier with the most Life: Bridge Troll (16 Life)

Happy Veteran's Day

Troll has more life than Minotaur. Why didn't You count knight as a race? :P

Hmm. 26 in the database, and then one from Academy (Satyr Gruff). I did not include promos (only published), so maybe one from that I've overlooked?

You are so right! Trolls everywhere are gnashing their teeth at my mistake. I will edit my post.

When I say race, I mean a race of Etheria (Human, Orc, Goblin, High Elf, etc.). Knights are another classification.

Slaknir maybe from Domination?

Slaknir is in database. If You're counting soldiers with OCTGN then there's promo dwarf from Dice Tower latest kickstarter campaign. Other than that I don't recall anyone reporting missing soldiers from database.

I was doing it from OCTGN but I pulled all Promos and Playtester cards from the count.

Here is the list that I see:

 Anvil Throne Crossbowman
 Asyran Defender
 Bloodcrag Minotaur
 Bridge Troll
 Brogan Bloodstone
 Dwarf Kriegsbiel
 Dwarf Panzergarde
 Goblin Alchemist
 Goblin Bomber
 Goblin Builder
 Goblin Grunt
 Goblin Slinger
 Grimson Deadeye, Sniper
 Gurmash, Orc Sergeant
 Knight of Westlock
 Ludwig Boltstorm
 Mort
 Orc Butcher
 Otto Kronig, Master Engineer
 Royal Archer
 Satyr Gruff
 Sir Corazin, Blademaster
 Skeletal Archer
 Skeletal Knight
 Skeletal Minion
 Skeletal Sentry
 Slaknir, Goblin Chieftain
 Thorg, Chief Bodyguard

Ahh! Skeletal Sentry database entry has not been updated! It should have the Soldier subtype.

Nice detective work! Thanks -- I'll update the original post.

Highest single roll of attack dice is tied since Minotaur has 6 with the Charge +2 trait. Perhaps you meant "printed number of attack dice"?
