I know I allready wrote a lot about the "official rules & codex supplement", but I got a lot of promises since spring 2015, and no new version (the last one is from May 12 2014).

MW is an evolutive game and therefore some old rules and cards have to be errated or adapted (Arcan Wonder has the wisdom to do it very carefully, but there are changes however). MW is a complicated game and therefore some rules have to be explained.
All these modifications, specifications and clarifications are around here on the forum... we take time to ask, answer, officialize, and the discussions add and repeat, lost in the forum's depth...

I know some players don't need to have precise rules to play. They play as they think is right, and when they have a doubt they note the question for later.
I like to know what is the rule when I play, to know what strategy is possible for me, for my opponent, and to be sure how to continue the game when we have a doubt (and I'm sure I'm not alone!). The forum is too chaotic to look for answers in the middle of a game, I need to have clear, precise, official rulings collected in a practical document. That's the "official rules & codex supplement"!

So... I know there are a lot of priorities and only a few Arcan Wonder people, but what will I do when I recieve Paladin, Siren, or any future archmage, mummy-necromancian, elementalist or stone-druide, if I still don't know how to play Anvil Throne Warlord and Adramalech Warlock right?!?
The last update of the "official rules & codex supplement" is more than 2 years old. Some of us urgently need a new one.


p.s.: If I can help, trying to collect all the rullings from the last two years across the forum, tell me! (and I'm sure other players would be ready to complete it with me)

just to be sure:
if my dwarf warlord has runed boots + harshforge plate + armor ward, and my oponent wants to steal my boots:
1) he will steal them with the rune
2) he won't pay +2 for the rune
3) he will pay +2 for the harshforge plate
4) he won't pay +4 for the armor ward

right?

I don't like domination.
It seems to me it forces fast play: in arena you can play fast and try to kill your opponent or destroy his organisation quickly, but you can also organise the arena triying to take your opponent in a long game. In domination if you begin with a long term building, your opponent will take too much V'Tar to be caught up.
I like a game to be open for a lot of strategies, and it seems to me domination closes the possibilities. It makes shorter games, but time is no criterium for me. Does it bring other advantages?

Other question: will there be other battleground sets with other goals than V'Tar?

i will at least play 2 vs 2 domination!!!

well, a few questions before that:

1) can both mages cast a quickcast before or after one of their creature?
i think only the controler can, but my friends think otherwise...

2) who becoms the mana or life when activating an orb?
i think it's the controler, but my friends think the team can choose which mage...

my card sais
X<= number of temples
pay X to attack X dices

but the french version sais
X= number of temples
nothing about paying anithing

is there an errata?
(i don't see anything in the supplemnent of may 2014)

when an object with arcan ward on it is targeted, i must reveal arcan ward but i can decide not to pay the reveal cost...
how does this rule goes for a 0 cost? can i decide not to pay 0?

I'm not sure to understand the Faulty orb rule:

at the begining of the game somebody must hit the orb to turn it ON (he must control the zone to do that)
and after that, to get the V'Tar a player must control the zone during the upkeep

is that right?

General Discussion / domination: 2vs2 and dying mages

On another topic, Crow, spoke about a way to play 2vs2 domination with undiying mages and V'Tar points theft.
I will play 2vs2 domination in a few weeks and i want:
1) that no dead player has to wait till the others end the game
2) the kill strategie and the V'Tar strateggie are well balanced, to open the strategic possibilities

I thought about letting a dead mage come back but to do that his co-player would have to pay 10 life points, and the dead would come back with only 5 life points.
I like crow's idea very much and would like to know more about the details!
Have others had others ideas?

in a zone there are
- my bloodthirsty creature
- an oponent's guard with no damage
- an opponent's creature with damages

since my bloofthirsty creature can't attack the damaged creature, it doesn't have to attack, right?
