How many of you guys have tried using custom maps for standard arena (not just domination)? I've had a lot of success playing 3 player standard free for all on octgn using a 3x5 zone arena with a spiked pit terrain in zones b2, b4 and c3. (a b and c are the rows). I've also tried using the Path of War map without the sslaks or orbs, and it's pretty fun, but probably makes the gameplay different enough from 3x4 Arena that it might count as an alternate variant all of its own (it's still balanced between aggresssive and controlling playstyles though).
What about you?
