Avoid attack from Reverse Attack
« on: January 29, 2018, 12:56:51 PM »
Hi Mages!
If I attack creature and it has Reverse Attack, can I use Devence against this attack on me? I think no, because it is one attack and step avoid attack is pass.

yes that is correct. you can use a defense against it. since the attack you are making presumably is not unavoidable which would cancel the attack in the first place, the rebound you may use an appropriate defense.

No, you can not use a defense against it as, like you said, you're not the target for the Avoid Attack step. You're only the target during the Roll Dice step and the Damage and Effects step.

I sit corrected. I did not have any cards for reference when replying. Something will try to avoid in the future. Thanks Zuberi.

If my FM with ForceField attack creature with Reverse Attack, my mage will get this attack through ForceField?

The Forcefield effect occurs before the Avoid Attack step.
The Reverse Attack occurs during the Avoid Attack step.

So the Forcefield would not stop the Reverse Attack hitting your mage.
