Well, there are elections, and since I don't wan't to get into politics in a gaming forum, we will assume the the presidential Candidates were the mages from the game :)

I voted Anvil Throne. I know his party gets a bad rap, but comparing issues Bloodwave stands at a completely different height.

You do realize that those are countries/regions of Etheria right? So basically you're talking about electing a global president not a national one.
I vote for the wizard of Sortilege, since Sortilege is more likely to put someone sane into office than any of the other "parties". Too bad most people aren't gonna vote for him, since when it comes to world politics, people see Westlock as high and mighty and Sortilege as just her nerdy sidekick.

I concur. Anvil Throne Warlord is nothing like Trump. Unlike Trump, the Anvil Throne Warlord can make Etheria great again, while Trump would only ruin it.
btw, making fun of scary bad politicians and corrupt people in power is an old, tried and tested protest technique. It isn't something insensitive to the seriousness of the situation like you seem to think it is. You should try it sometime! :P

As a citizen of Ivarium watching Westlock's election unfold, I'd like to express my condolences to Westlock on the demise of its democracy. It would seem that Westlock has fallen for the rhetoric of a con man (con orc?). As David Frum said, "On the bright side, 227 years is a really good run for a republic."

Before we move on, I just want to say that I think someone should write a real world/Mage Wars crossover fic, just to see how Earth politicians like Trump and Clinton would react to the world of Etheria.
