I can´t get on OCTGN :(
No Netflix/HBO/TV
Its winter
Why not try get a card of the day going?
-
Unstable Fire Imp
or
Moonglow Faerie
or
Otto Kronig
or
Quicksand
In my years of playing this game I do not think I have seen any of these four cards used.
-
Moonglow faerie aint that bad :)
But apart from Quicksand i don´t remember seeing those others.

Quicksand is fun with sleep.
Two actions and tons of mana though.
I think people don't play QS because you have 4 chances to get out and the chance isn't even low. And even if you miss three of the chances, you can just use a teleport.
-
Quicksand might be a somewhat better version of Tanglevine for the Warlord, I guess... same spellbook points, and a chance to kill the target creature (even if only 1/4 or so). It also takes up the target's actions, whereas an enemy creature in a tanglevine might just ignore that. You wouldn't use it on your own creatures as you might a Tanglevine.

I love Quicksand. It's a non-living conjuration so your construction yard gets 2 mana when it is destroyed! Ideally you've used up an enemy teleport as well.
-
Haha yea I k know puddnhead loves quicksand. He used it on an asp just to avoid the snake. I never seen someone do it before to a lvl 1 but asps are nasty. I love quicksand too its great for warlords.

I have used quicksand as a warlord. it is pretty interesting way to mess with guards - especially interceptors.

I think moongkow faerie us a good card, but there is not enough reason to use her in current meta. Too few incorporeal spells, faeries can be killed by arc lightning or flameblast. I can forsee someone using them to counter incorporeal creatures/conjurations without using your attack spells, while also forcing opponent to use an attack spell to deal with them. They might be good to use from a gate to Voltari, and if you enchant them with giant size they'll have a little extra staying power AND they'll roll 6 dice ethereal.
But not enough incorporeal to make them worth it, they're too situational at the moment.

Wizard doesn't have trouble with Incorporeal anyway. Arcane Zap + Hawkeye is all he really needs. Way cheaper than a full action and 8 mana for a very killable fairy.

Yes, but that's because he only needs to use max two or three ethereal attacks in a single round. It's not like anyone is having that many incorporeal objects in play at a time.
