Title: Ring of Fire/Firestorm
Post by: Hedge on August 29, 2012, 08:23:49 PM
On Ring of Fire it excludes the caster as a Target with the text "Attacks All Objects in the zone except the castor." Fire storm is missing this text. Is this a mistake? or does the caster get a face full of Fire.

Ring of fire has a range of 0-0.  Firestorm has a 0-1...so the mage can cast it in an adjacent zone...otherwise, ya, face full of fire LoL

of course if you are a mage who is going to cast a firestorm in his own zone, i hope you remembered to cast your fire protection equipment.  (ie elemental cloak, dragonscale hauberk) so you wont be affected much by it.

It's correct.  Ring of Fire is bursting out from the mage.  Firestorm is bringing the heat down upon the zone.  If the mage is silly enough/masochistic to stand in the zone, well, I hope he likes his skin well done!  :P

With two pieces of equipment the mage could have flame -4. Originally I didn't notice the 0-1 range, but thought about that after I posted.
