General Discussion / Re: Mages election

Everyone, lets keep this forum free of political posts. I know we've been joking around on this thread, but lets keep everything cleanly in Etheria.

Not to over-commit myself, but I plan to make a little reminder card people can print off for the Auras, but it's a little ways down my list of tasks. So, I'm not sure when I'll get to it.

An update to the supplement is well underway, it's just a fairly labor intensive project.

Anouncements / Re: Join Playtesting!
« on: November 04, 2016, 08:21:17 AM »
I've gotten several emails this week about joining playtesting. I just wanted to let those people know I haven't forgotten about them. I'll be sending you responses soon, I'm hoping over the weekend. Thanks!

I love the stalker in specific matchups, like the Necromancer. Kelanen is also right, don't be afraid to dip into another school for a creature. At one point my Forcemaster ran an Earth Elemental, but that evolved into a Devouring Jelly. Experiment. There are some really interesting options out there.

General Discussion / Re: Mage Wars Companion App - Feature Requests
« on: November 01, 2016, 08:21:23 PM »
Everyone, lets keep things calm. We don't need anyone poking either side of this. The comment was unnecessary, as were the responses to it. It's been stated previously that the App and online spellbook builder are not working as we had planned, and we're trying to work on both of those issues. The App is more tricky as it is in the hands of our developer. We are still working to get these situations resolved.

In the meantime, there is no reason to specifically poke at others unrest. This sucks, and they have a right to express that. However, it's poking back isn't going to get us anywhere either.

Water Elemental isn't legendary, but he's pretty boss regardless.

EDIT: And I reread the title and see you added him on purpose. lol go me. Out of curiosity why? Is it because he's such a high level creature?

See, now I feel like a horrible person. I thought it was a super advanced emoji cause it looked like a guy's face with a big nose. And now I'm sorry. I love linguistic stuff and so this was super fascinating for me, once I got past thinkn' it was an emoji. :(
I really like the "super advanced emoji" theory. It made me laugh :)
And you should actually feel like a wonderful person for thinking I was far more sophisticated than I really was. Assuming by default that other people are awesome is a good virtue  :D

Most of the time I would totally agree with you. :-D

Super Sorcerer... is that hebrew? I am curious. At first, i was thinking that it is some kind of sing from mobile or tablet.
It is. It stands for 'בעזרת ה , which means "With God's Help". בעזרת is "with the help of" and since we don't write or say God's name in hebrew except for Prayer and reading from the bible, it is marked with 'ה and pronounced "Hashem" (Which means "The name").
Some write בס"ד, which means "With heaven's help". Some write לק"י, which stands for Genesis chapter 49 verse 18, that king Jame's bible translate as "I have waited for thy salvation, O LORD." (י is the first letter of God's name, which would be used here and not 'ה because it is a verse from the bible).

See, now I feel like a horrible person. I thought it was a super advanced emoji cause it looked like a guy's face with a big nose. And now I'm sorry. I love linguistic stuff and so this was super fascinating for me, once I got past thinkn' it was an emoji. :(

Rules Discussion / Re: Paladin vs. Siren Terrain Question

When you overlay terrain, the terrain you're replacing is destroyed (except the effects from the tiles in domination which get turned off.)

Each zone can only have one terrain attached to it. If you play a new one on the same zone you have to pay to remove the old one.

Paladin can gain the intercept trait? How? :o

You'll want to check out his shield. It's kinda great.

No, you cannot intercept an attack already targeting you.

Resources and Downloads / Re: Wizard and Wizard's Tower Errata
« on: October 27, 2016, 08:25:07 AM »
The errata was issued over the summer. The Core Set and Conquest of Kumanjaro have not been reprinted since then, so buying a new box would not get you the errata'd card. When these products get reprinted next these cards will be updated to their current wording. Right now I've included a link (in the original post) to pdf's of the two cards, so you can print off your own copies of them. We're also working on a possible solution to make errata cards more available to our fans.

Issuing errata on the Wizard was not something I did lightly, but it was necessary, especially when the Siren was coming out. I explained in my post on this, that the change was because the Wizard had become an enormous design constraint limiting what we could do in the future. I'm sorry that you disagree with our approach to this issue. Thank you for taking the time to express your thoughts on this matter.
