General Discussion / Re: Lost Grimoire v1 SPOILERS

Trample attacks are neither ranged nor melee attacks. So you don't get any Melee +X traits.

Great call, but there is a picture of a sword in a red circle, in between the cool new trample action speed icon, and the 7 dice indicator. Looks exactly like the melee attack indicator on the attack just above. It could mislead a bunch of people, maybe new players, or returning players.

Regardless, super rad card. Warlords everywhere are cheering! Amazing flavor text, possible new meme material. I wish "short-lived success" for all my opponents.

The melee symbol is so that it triggers things like, counterstrikes and damage barriers. However, because it is a trample attack it DOES NOT get any bonuses based on being a ranged or melee attack.

Spamming customer service will only bother Alfiya ;-). We're looking at our options and are looking to move forward. But with BGG this week it may be next week before we have anything concrete.

Rules Discussion / Re: Paladin's strongest enemy

1) Equipment has nothing to do with determining the strongest enemy. Your opponent's Mage can only be the strongest enemy if that opponent has no other creatures.

2) You pick. It should be in the PVS rules.

There are no dinosaurs, but I think there is a Rhinoceros and an Elephant.

Oh. I guess I was mislead by the product announcement stating that the expansion included a creature called "Titanodon" and that included the "Trample" keyword whereby they can deal damage by moving. Thought it sounded like a dinosaur.

I'll see if I can't get a spoiler up today, if that's possible.

Sweet!!

Titanodon is kinda like an Oliphant. Well you'll see when I post him later.

Zuberi is, as always, amazing. This cards interactions are turning out to be a bit more complicated that I had anticipated, and just for note I did not assume them to be simple. When I get back from BGG con, which is next week, Zuberi and I can talk about it and nail this down.

Sorry I didn't have time to say more earlier, I was about to have a webmeeting and I wanted to say something.

No problem - thanks for the explanation Aaron. I can see this interpretation in the first phrase of Immunity, I was hung up on the latter parts.

And I totally understand that. I'm glad I can be helpful.

I'm making the assumption that demonic link would work after the afflicted demon has been brought back. Please, correct me if I'm wrong.

It doesn't lose any subtypes, so yes.

Sorry I didn't have time to say more earlier, I was about to have a webmeeting and I wanted to say something.

In the description for immunity it says you are immune to conditions, among other things. Now, I can see where that would be that you are immune to the effects of conditions. However, in this case it's saying you're immune to the whole condition. So, when looking at the Afflicted Demon, if it comes back as a zombie it's immune to poison and so those poison conditions should be removed.

As I said previous, I understand the alternative interpretation. It is an intelligent and fair one. However, when the rules only take you so far I know that Bryan wants a spell to work "like they think it should". So from that aspect as well it does not make sense for a nonliving creature to have a poison condition on him.

Sorry for the brief answer previously. I hope this one makes more sense. Also, there is no need to wield my words like a sledgehammer. We're all asking questions and working through the answers. Also, give me some time to respond  ;D I'm not always on the forums that instant.

Have a great day everyone.
