Hello guys,i've been working on this deck for a couple of days and ran 4-5 games to test it....and my opinion is that this build needs your help since i feel it mana starved most of times and not so effective in the offensive part..how to improve it? every suggestion will be very appreciated

How do you open? what is your main strategy?

I have a similar deck like yours and it also feels like I'm mana starved all the time. I don't think you will ever have the mana to summon the bear. One thing that will def. help this build is Kajarah and slavorg! In my opinion you could maybe even drop the hunting bow. I feel the bow could be the better option in builds without a lair and a few strong buddies. Also I would focus on minor creatures in general and try to use the cheaper enchantments from academy. Do you plan to ever use the knife?

Rouse the beast is an awesome spell but I never feel like I have the actions to use it. especially not when you try to battle along with your creatures.

To gain some tempo I think I would summon a lair, buff everything with enchantments and start attacking with kajarah.

Rouse is used in two ways in my JBM:

As a trick. If a I cast a med or large creature, I will cast rouse to throw the opponent off.

To get a swarm going a little bit faster. Often times in opening rounds after lair is cast, I'm tight on the manas. So casting a bird off lair, hard casting with mage, and then rousing is only 11 mana.

It's not something you want more than 2-3 of (unless you are crazy and build a book around it), but it is definitely useful both in the early game as engine starter as well as a good mid-late game trick.

u just hit entirelly my point halewijn,if i open with lair+harmonize i have 10 +3 mana....R2 i will prolly go for falcon(6-3=3)leaving me with 7 to cast enchanter's ring + mana flower. R3:10+3 it will prolly be something like deploy another falcon then another mana flower and an enchant on me..... it takes 3 turns to basically have "nothing" 12+3 mana and only 2 falcons.... while your opponent prolly has 3-4 armor and one big creature or 2....

A Lair and two Flowers is a really slow opening for a Beastmaster, I'd go for only one of those things.  I guess depending on what your opponent does.

Ok if you Lair/Harmonize Round 1 then you need to be preparing for battle on Round 2. Don't summon anything, cast the Enchanters Ring and either get some equipment out or cast an enchantment. If you wanted to you COULD go with the ring and either Hawkeye or Akiros Favor on Round 2 and on Round 3 chuck a boulder at something or someone. Then use the Lair to just cast creatures while you apply steady offense while buffing yourself. You've got Rouse the Beast so you've less need to worry about getting them out quick as they can attack as soon as they're summoned really.

mb i could swap those 2 hurl boulders with 4 hurl rocks dropping a harmonized lair on turn 1 then a round 2 ring and hawkeye folowed by round 3 harrassing with boomerang or rocks?

You could do that. If the boomerang is out and you got the Hawkeye on then there's no reason you can't Hawkeye AND throw spells. You're Fast so you can cover the entire board pretty quick while hurting stuff along the way.

the boomerang is def. worth to try! and I think you should only spend 1 round on economy. Maybe only the lair and an enchanter's ring?

This is awesome, I'm excited to see this in play.

My main question is, where do you place your lair? If it's in your opponent's face (taking advantage of the fast trait) then I recommend against the turn two economy play. If you put it that close to your opponent then they'll probably play on three different strategies:
  • Destroy your lair since you invested so much into it - In that case you'll need to protect your lair while churning out creatures.
  • Counter Rush you with attacks since you spent so much mana on economy - Play protective spells to survive the onslaught, or run away, all the while use consistent damage from one or two creatures.
  • Kill your creatures as they're spawned - You have so many creatures so there's no way they'll keep up.
Playing Economy turn two doesn't help against any of those strategies.

If, on the other hand, you play the lair defensively then the economy is alright. I still don't recommend that much just in case they play extremely aggressive, but that's just a preference.

The last point I have is that I feel you over-saturate too much in creatures and weaponry. If you have that many creatures in your book, it should probably be for versatility, rather than spamming. You have your falcons OR bitterwood foxes for swarming, so I'd take out a few of those creatures that you have copies of. Maybe add a porcupine for defense, an asp for damage reduction, and Terraki or even two for constant damage. Heck, Sharkbait's even been using Tarok for anti angel/blood demon tech.

I'd definitely keep two kajarahs but probably go down to one knife. The bow isn't a bad choice, but since you're using kajarah your could pick up an elemental wand as well for both hand slots and get reliable damage with those acid balls. Optionally pick a mage wand instead, and throw rouse the beast on it for your Falcons, Beastslinger style!

I also like ferret companion in the JBM builds as taunting imposing creatures can be so critical during the late stages of the game.

i putted in so many creatures just for variety and to adjust my play to my opponent playstyle..i mean..this could easily turn into a buddy build or 2 buddies one...the reason why there are those wepons is because of he casting cost...they are very cheap and so theycould be easilly dissolved,in this case a back up one is the best solution.Btw i ll make tresure of your precious advices and post a new version of this. i think my major problem would be an early gorgon archer or a massive armor mage...

so this is how this book now looks like after a few trials...what do u think? call of the wild is a strong card that almost never finds the light since this is a mana starved deck that needs every action to count hard...planing to rip them out with a mana flower for purify or a wand....
