Title: Why are there no Lovecraftian horrors?
Post by: webcatcher on February 24, 2014, 09:14:10 AM
Since this game contains a melding of different magic and wizard archetypes, I think this would be an obvious choice. And if a Lovecraftian horror's attack added a hypothetical "madness" condition, that would be even better. Here's hoping that the Siren will at least come with some horrifying fish people.

Lovecraftian creatures do not fit into the current story.

Shoggoth Zora would like a word with you, and that word is Fhtagn.

That was the only name people could think up. It is still not from the story guide. Libro Mortis was my idea for the Necronomicon / Book of the Dead we changed the name a few weeks before print

I gotcha Shad0w. While I'm sad that Lovecraftian creatures do not fit into the "current"  ;) story, I look forward to the future The Stars Are Right expansion and accompanying story material.

@ Shadow that just means you need an obligatory cthulhu expansion

The King in Yellow may disagree

Not lovecraft stuff, but I would love to see some cards about The Dark Tower serie. Lobstrosities would be good creatures for the Siren. Roland, The Pistolero would also be a nice legendary addition to the game. And of course, a conjuration named The Dark Tower.  ;D

Actually I don't miss any Lovecraftian stuff here. There is already too much of that crap anyways - especially thanks to Kickstarter, Cthulhu and zombies became so much overused that it started to annoy me.
