I have the bad habbit of playing tons of books and none more than 5 times each. I just can not seem to settle down.
The mage contenders are: siren, pally, fm, sbm, at warlord, wiz, and necro.
Any tips?

They are contestants for what? Do you want to stop your habbit and start concentrating on 1 mage only?

Just have fun. I thinks it's ok to switch and play other mages. I feel players get better the more mages you play as.
If you have this problem maybe you could at least just focus on several different types of books from a single Mage. Maybe it will satisfy your need to switch mages if at least you play different books. I'm going to be testing this with my necro. I have a couple different books made that are fairly similar except for my opening and a few spells that work well with the main strategy of my build.

I agree with Farkas. Play what you want and only worry about focusing if you got a big event coming up.

Pick 1 mage and play with them a lot! Try different cards and strategies you wouldnt normally think of, and if you lose take notes of why you lost and decide which cards you can use without to make room for more "useful" spells. Repeat the process. Also if you win record what cards you can do without. Over time you will develope a sense of what cards work best in certain situations and what cards you can do without. It also helps to play against every mage multiple times and with everymage. This helps you get an understamding of what to look out for as well.
And as statted above the main point of the game is to have fun. And focusing down for events seems very reasonable.
