Starting a couple of days ago, I have noticed occasional slow responses from the web server. I will type "forum.arcanewonders.com" into my address bar or click on a link, and then wait for a good 20-30 seconds before the next page loads. I have noticed this behavior on my work computer, home computer, and phone. This issue is intermittent for me - it doesn't happen on every request.
I still find the site very usable, just an FYI :)

The site is hosted on a shared server and it appears to be under some additional load. Not sure why.
I'll check in with the ISP to see what we can do.

Just now got the following error trying to load http://forum.arcanewonders.com/index.php?action=unread
Connection Problems
Sorry, SMF was unable to connect to the database. This may be caused by the server being busy. Please try again later.

I have gotten this error 3 or 4 times over the last couple of days.

If there is excessive load in their data centre then it will cause that issue. It has been happening a fair bit lately but I am not aware of any overall issue with the database server

The site is becoming too popular? That's a problem I think arcane wonders welcomes lol.

It is on a shared server so who knows what the reason for the problem is. The forum is certainly more popular though. Just not that popular :)
