Greetings to All,

First, DrMark...Congratulations on the win and thank you for the tournament recap! We appreciate it greatly.

Next, I hear what you're saying about more timely reporting. I agree that it should happen right away. Our person responsible for getting that posted was stuck in an airport yesterday. As soon as he gets home we should see the spellbook builds and rankings from Dice Tower Con.

We have several changes to be implemented prior to Gencon which should make the rest of this run smoothly.

As an additional item, during this period of website upgrade we will be implementing a tactics web page to help corral the player driven content. We hope to have it running soon. I will post a definitive due date as soon as I have it.

Thank you all for your patience and support. We are taking notes and improving how we handle the forums.

Sincerely,

John

That is quite the question. Since the launch we haven't really held a company tournament. Based off of playing here and there we can only speculate. This tells me we need a company picnic. As soon as we get some more games in, I'll let you know how they turn out!

The second printing of the books should be arriving from China either in late April or early May. We will announce them as soon as they've arrived.

First, Anders you have to bring your 10 year old by. I just have this picture in my head of a dismal looking child in front of the booth captioned "Why aren't you here?".

And to the rest...

Booth Number: Not yet assigned. We will also have a MW room just like last year.

What's for sale: The entire product line (Core Set, FvW Expansion, Spell Tomes 1, 2, & 3, Action Markers, Spell Book Packs 1 & 2) + T-shirts, Caps, and posters. Now the rest of this list is strong possibilities. These include Druid vs Necro Expansion & Premium Status Boards. I hope to get more items added to this list, but I need them further along in the production cycle before announcing.

Time to Game: At the moment we expect to be incredibly busy, but I will plant the bug today that each of us needs to find time to 'Game with the Gamers'.

Bring your own Spellbook?: ABSOLUTELY! BRING THREE! In fact I want to encourage making your Mage as unique as possible. If you have your own bedazzled action markers, BRING THEM. Made your own laser etched status board, BRING IT! Got your own status tokens carved from the bones of baby Steelclaw Grizzlies, DO IT! As our product line grows we intend to give you more options to personalize your Mage. Who knows. Your design could be the next major fad in high fashion spell-slinging.

Promos for Gencon: Absolutely! We are in the process of voting on which card it will be right now. Just so we're clear, all of our promo cards will appear in later sets. The art may be different but we never want to penalize a player just for missing Gencon.

How to receive them: Hmmm, that is up in the air. We may have one that is easy, like walking up to the booth. The other one might require entry into the tournament. THIS IS ALL UNKNOWN, but we will update you as soon as we have decided.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Hey again,

I am going to send this via personal message to help limit the forum traffic. If anyone wants to know the English shipping rate info, please contact me directly.

Thanks.

Hello Saus,

I just went through our records and our UK distributors did not order any. At this time we are out of them, but more are on the way. We hope to have them by late April. This assumes no difficulties with customs.

As for getting the next batch to England, I will push on our distributor there to pick some up this time around. This is a case of the more noise they get about the product the more likely they are to stock it. I would suggest talking to your local gaming stores and make sure they are requesting it from their distributors. Also while we always prefer that you buy our product from local retailers, I don't know if ordering from our website would result in cheaper shipping or not. Transit costs are crazy that way.

Feel free to contact us directly if you need more help.

General Discussion / Re: Mage Wars en espaƱol / MW in Spanish

Short answer - Yes.

Longer answer - Currently the Spanish Company prepping for production is trying to find someone to produce the game at an acceptable price. I have heard that their translations are almost done though. As it stands now, the release would be around the early fall.

OP Kit 2: Allegiance in Blood

The OP Kit Program is designed to foster and promote play experiences within the store settings. Kits are available to retailers who may purchase them through their distributors. This kit and all standard OP Kits going forward are intended to provide 9 weeks of story, challenges, and prizes to reward players. Kits will be released every two months. Players involved in the kits will have the option of making decisions regarding the future direction of the story in each cycle.

The current kit contains:
How to Teach Mage Wars Guide
   Event Guide
   Story Guide
   Sign-Up Poster
   Display Poster
   36 Gold Stamped Promo Cards

This kit will be shipping to distributors on March 25th. Retailers should be able to get it shortly afterwards.

General Discussion / Re: PAX EAST?
« on: March 11, 2013, 10:34:08 AM »
Unfortunately PAX East scheduled itself on the same week as the GAMA Trade Show in Vegas.

For PAX East, we are sharing some space with the Compleat Strategist and some of our Ambassadors will be there to run demos.

As much as we wanted to attend both, our core team had to make a choice. We must head to Vegas and convince more retailers to bring our game to the public.

Hopefully next year we won't have this dilemma and can attend both!

This wasn't on our radar soon enough for us to make a presence this year. Now that we know about it, we will see about next year though.

Thank you for bringing this up Tan!

Thanks Sausageman! The current plan for Water is Druid Vs Necromancer. However this is part of a large internal debate we're having so I am not willing to put a guarantee on that yet. We definitely want it out there as soon as possible though. If it takes us longer than August, I will be surprised.

We will be producing a Spell Tome soon (with all new cards) and some of them will appear in that. The number that appears will be determined by how much playtesting we get done. I would say two of them at minimum.
