I live in the loop in downtown Chicago and I'm looking for someone to play Mage Wars with. I'm a 30 year old guy who recently moved to the city for a new job and I'm looking to meet new people. Hi! I'm in the Western 'burbs, but I regularly play on OCTGN and would be able to meet up occasionally. I do have a lot of constraints on my time, but if you can be in the area I will do my best to meet up with you.

I'm in the Burbs as well. Every Tuesday night I'm at Durty Nellie's I Palatine for Toggle Gaming - Tabletop Tuesdays.
I'm always up for a game. the Metra drops off right in From of Nellies, so the Train from the city is very convienent.

I'm generally good on weekends given some warning. Need to clear it with the husband, of course, but then it should be fine. I know a gaming shop that is open to midnight most nights and hosts a lot of different events, maybe I can find some time on their schedule for a Mage Wars night?

Don't change everything just for me, but Saturday (7/30) is my wife's birthday and I will be spending the day with her. If there is a different day that I can get together with you all I will.

as much as I would love to come out to play MW, I'm not traveling into the city. Especially in that area. There is little to no parking (Street only) or easy access from the suburbs via public transportation.

Also, on July 23rd in Palatine at Durty nellies they are having their huge board game event. They are having game companies come in, Callopie games, and AEG. I'll be there pretty much until about 7PM willing to play Mage Wars all day.
They have a huge craft beer menu, great food, and it is only steps from the Metra Train Station.
This is such a great game that nobody plays.

Okay, so Dice Dojo got back to me and the good news is they don't charge anything, they have over a dozen tables, they're open til midnight, they don't need confirmed RSVP's.
The bad news is that Friday night is pretty packed, so if we're looking at the 29-30 the 30th will be better.
So if we decide to do this on the 30th, I have a place that can house us, but it's in the city. V1olentray, street parking is not that bad by Dice Dojo on Saturdays, I was just there, you could get there via public trans, but it would involve riding Metra and then switching to CTA.
If we want to do it in the burbs, I don't know of a place with the space that is as convenient.
Otherwise one of us could host, but I know I don't have the space to host a significant amount of people.

It only take 2 to play Mage Wars :)
In my experience its pretty hard to get a "larger" group of people together. I only play about 5-10 live games a month when im back home with work, family, friends and everything its just tough to get live games in.

V10lentray: Really would like to go the 23. Sound like something worth the trip! To late/expensive to change everything. Hopefully someone will go? and hopefully you and i will find the time and place for 1+ game(s)

Okay, I'm going to pull the trigger on the Mage Wars meetup on Saturday, July 30 at 7pm. There's great Vietnamese and Thai places nearby if people want to grab dinner beforehand. I'll also post it to Meetup.com and maybe more people will come.

What is everyone else's timeline that day? Dice Dojo is very friendly, so I don't see a problem either changing the time or just showing up a bit early. They've got tons of other cool games to play as well.

I live abut 30 minutes from Puddinhead and about 25 minutes from intangible, but they're both in different directions.

Have limited internet access but will be back online at 6 pm or so.

I set the event for 7, but there's not a lot of organized gaming going on today, so there should be tables free. They're also really nice there so I don't think they'll have any problem with having people over early.

Guys, I am heading up your way tomorrow night. I will be staying at the Hard Rock (downtown on Michigan ave) through Friday. So, tomorrow night, wed/thurs evenings will be available for some mw.
