Burst of thorns

i believe this incantation need the subtipe plant because its clear that affect vine markers (plant) and you throw thorns to your enemy.

This would be this spell more useless becouse now its very bad and have too many cost, 5 mana and a vine marker.

Subtype plant would make it cheaper, but I find this spell to be pretty useful as it is. For 5 mana at 2 range you get an attack of 4 that bypasses obscured and cannot be reflected back to its caster, with piercing and a decent chance of a bleed. It might even be too good at 4 mana. And the use of a vine marker isn't really much of a problem; by the time I find myself attacking with my druid, I have generally reached the point at which I have more vine markers than I know what to do with!

I kinda agree with you Isel but like ACG said it's still pretty useful.

As long as you can see your target you can pop this attack off anywhere on the board! That is useful!

Ah, if only that were true. Unfortunately, you still have to be within 2 zones of your target, since Burst of Thorns is not a vine spell (and hence does not have vine-range targeting).

Wrong, Burst of Thorns is range 0-2 and doesnt have Vine subtype. So maximum 2 zones away of your druid.

Basically what ACG said.  You should look at it like this:

1) Burst of Thorns rolls MORE dice in proportion to its cost than most attack spells.
2) It's not an attack spell requires your opponent to counter it in a different way (if they even see it coming)
3) It has a 50% chance for a bleed, which means its damage potential is even higher, easily being at a 1:1 damage to mana ratio or higher (better than most attack spells).
4) Free piercing +1.
5) It is a RANGED attack, hence, bypasses guards, which is HUGE.

This spell is simply one of the most powerful relative to its cost.

It also cannot be Reverse Attack'ed back in your face.  A small comfort, but still nice.

Its an Incantation, so you can cast it when Dazed without rolling the "fail" chance which is also handy.

If it did have the vine type it would fit the Druid's turtle style of play better. Still useful unless your playing against a necromancer then not so much since the bleed does nothing unless you are directly attacking the necromancer.

If it was a Vine it would be a tad OP, yes?
