I'm assuming it's perfectly legal to use the Thornslasher to snatch an enemy from one zone away through a bloodspine wall without taking damage?

yes no dmg for the lasher but for the enemy

As Mystery said, yes. As long as you can see the target and have the target in range of the attack, you can make the ranged attack. Part of the attack is the Snatch. The attacks from walls with a passage attack are only resolved when the creature involved physically moves in its entirety through the zone border.

Wall of fire blocks line of sight, so thorn lasher cannot see his target to try for a snatch.

i love this!
i do it every time i can! (with a lasher on each side of the wall, they play tennis!)

and a mage nearby to adjudicate and in case of a failed snatch, cry foul and force push through anyway.
