Being completely honest, my favorite way to deal tank builds other than dot is to have 2-3 copies of this is and critical strike. The only way to remove them is through some kind of dispel purge magic shenanigans. Thoughts?

I think including promo cards in your spellbook is like cheating.

I tend to agree, but if available, no sense in not using it.

It's nothing like cheating.

It obviously depends on whether you and your opponent have agreed that it's fine to use Promo cards. Personally, I always make it very clear that Promo cards may not be used. I don't play against spellbooks that use them (OCTGN games would be different, since they don't require you to have the cards, but I don't play on OCTGN).

We are pretty relaxed about promos back home.
As an example I got a lot of Dragonclaw Wolverines from Arcane Wonders.
Those are going to be prizes in stacks of 4 in our tournaments.
If I won one of those, I would like to build a book around them and try them out.
I understand that it gives an unfair advantage, but I usually have way more access to legal cards than any of my opponents anyway. I'll be the only one in Europe with PvS for a short while, that's not fair.
Besides I like to meet the new stuff as early as possible.

We always use all promo cards, except for when we are practicing for tournaments.
Frankly it's the only way to increase the card pool sufficiently.
