From what I picked up, Aaron was let go, he didn't quit and that is something that makes me doubt how AW is handling MW.

I've communicated to AW staff on a few occasions related to my work on spellbook builder. While Aaron was around it kind of felt like there is a chance AW will actually do something about MW, but he was let go in Dec 2016 and after that Toni took over. Communicating with Toni has been a total disaster and at some point I gave up. And it's not just Toni, I have a feeling that AW just doesn't give a s**t about MW and MW community.
Playtesters see things we don't so their perspective is different, but that is of little comfort to the rest of us.

@sedawk: It won't let you use more spells than you actually own, I think it's quite practical if you are making spellbooks you actually intent to use in real life. Glad you like it.

Thanks for pointing this out, I'll do that. Before I get to it please let me know if there are other promo spells that should be removed for the same reason. List of spells currently marked as promo: Altar of Peace, Elfric's Life Ring, Mana Vampirism, Staff of Storms, Debilitate, Holy Strike, Acid Blast, Bloodthirsty Strike, Flame Strike, Lightning Strike, Leather Belt, Ring of Healing, Spiked Armor, Heart of Gravikor, Pharaoh's Cheetah, Asto Vidatu, Angel Slayer, Dragonclaw Wolverine, Death's Head Scorpion, Bloodwave Greatbow, Lightning Beetle, Screaming Zombie, Victorian Griffin, Eeker, Bind Spirit, Hidden Tunnels, Reinforce, Ankh of Asyra, Blur, Alfiya, Noble Enforcer, Sherean Leviathan, Gorgon Spearthrower, Shock, Bound Healing, Cowardice, Miss, Royal Armorer, Sanctuary, Servant of Malacoda, Silverclaw Ratel, Stench of Death.

I don't get to play much unfortunately, but I did try it against a Siren. She casted Water Elemental and Naiya, I casted 4 trolls. The elemental pushed us around a bit, but that didn't create any real problems. Both her creatures were dead by turn 7 or 8 and she was left alone with 17 damage against 4 bridge trolls and Warlord with no damage...

Here's a play I pulled last night, looking for comments on how to improve and what the weak spots are.
T1: 19 mana
Move to B3
Final QC: Teleport to B2
remain 17 mana
T2: 26 mana
QC: General's Signet Ring
Action: Bridge Troll
remain 11 mana
T3: 20 mana
QC: Commander's Cape
Action: Bridge Troll
Push with Bridge Troll
remain 6 mana
T4: 15 mana
Action: Bridge Troll
Push with two Bridge Trolls
remain 4 mana
T5: 13 mana
Action: Bridge Troll
Push with three Bridge Trolls
optional QC: Lesser Teleport (if you need to get away)
remain mana 2 (or 0).
After T5 you can keep keep producing level 3 Dwarfs of your preference (Crossbowman, Kriegsbiel, Kriegshammer or Panzergrade) or you can focus on supporting your Trolls. I expect the mage to take some damage during the first 5 Turns and I'm ok with that

Strategy and Tactics / End game - infinite resources

Had a weird game on Friday that ended up with a kind of stalemate, except for one mage having Sunfire Amulet. That mage could have gained enough life to jump into the well defended zone where the other mage was hiding and slowly kill everything in there.
Does this seem out of balance?
Are there other cards that would provide similar end game advantage? (couldn't think of any)

One of the fan based spellbook builders mentioned above is the one I made and it is available at www.spellbookbuilder.com. To my knowledge it contains all published spells, including Academy and promo spells. I've been talking to AW for almost a year now trying to get them to support me by providing spell images and data, but as these guys sometimes find it hard to answer an email (in a correspondence they initiated) I don't think it is realistic to expect their help in any way. Anyways, you are all invited to use www.spellbookbuilder.com, there is a thread in Spellbook Builder subforum where you can report issues or ask for features.

If you email AW directly and tell them that spellbook builder is an important tool for Mage Wars and that they should support it they might do something about it.

didn't forget about you guys Just added Academy Forcemaster and Warlord to www.spellbookbuilder.com
For a moment there it seemed like AW is going to help me out by providing spell images but in the end nothing happened so I did it on my own (again).
Since I did most of the work manually it's likely that I fucked up somewhere, let me know and I'll fix it.
