Hi, it is my first post in this nice forum :).
I have a doubt about the necromancer mage. Is he alive or not?
The idol of pestilence card affect to the Necromancer? That conjuration say 'During the upkeep phase, EACH living creature receive 1 poison damage', but all mage are alive, right?
-
The Necromancer is alive. All current Mages are alive.
However, the Necromancer has poison immunity and so he won't take damage from Idol of Pestilence.

Just leaving my self room for the future. Right now I don't see it ever happening, but I could be wrong.

ahhh, ty, i didnt remember that necromancer is inmune to the poison damage...

No nonliving mages? Does that mean there will never be any race of sapient magical automatons in Etheria? So dissapointing... :(
-
There could be, but they won't necessarily be Mages.

With everything Etheria has to offer, I wouldn't be disappointed because we don't have Mage Robots. Also, we're a long way off from anything like that. There is a lot of world to cover first.

If that were the case that would mean that the Mage academies are discriminating against them. Anybody up for a magic robot rebellion? :P

Ikr! I once estimated how many years of Arena mages we have left at the minimum if Etheria is about the size of Earth, if we don't include extraterrestrial mages and if the approximate number of countries is the same.
In the real world there are about 200 countries. Geographically Etheria is a LOT like Earth. If each country got one Mage, and we got four mages introduced each year, then we would have 50 years of Mages for Arena.
Who needs a whole multiverse when you can get that much out of just one world? Am I right?

Nonliving mage just like soldier mage would be hard to get right mechanically.

For note, I originally pushed quite hard to make the Warlord a Soldier.

That sure would have made their abilities a whole lot better.

yeah... Would be a HUGE upgrade for the warlords.
[mwcard=MWSTX2FFI04]Flank Attack[/mwcard] with a buddy
[mwcard=FWJ02]Archer's Watchtower[/mwcard]
[mwcard=MWSTX2FFI02]Conquer[/mwcard]
[mwcard=MXSTX2FFJ02]Altar of Carnage[/mwcard]
Hidden tunnels
[mwcard=MWSTX1CKI02]Akiro's Battle Cry[/mwcard]
[mwcard=FWE09]Standard Bearer[/mwcard]
Their own command spells.
And even though I love the orc, his verteran ability is probably the worst ability in the game. Would be awesome that he could become one himself ::)
too bad it didn't come trough. But some of these, like standard bearer, the warlord's commands and the watchtower probably would also need some kind of nerf..

What?
No Incorporeal mages? I am devastated...
Why not use this trait for the Archmage?

Because he's not incorporeal. :)
