here's a warlord book i've been fine tuning for a while and finally play tested it today (got my first OCTGN win).

the idea here is to use hawkeye and the Bloodwave's battle order "volley" to get a big boost to my range attacks. the golems are there to protect me while I sling my rocks.

the pit and teleport along with the Pillar on the following round worked pretty well as a finisher in the books first game even while being surrounded by two bridge trolls and a bloodcrag.

obviously thoughts on improvement are more than welcome

Cool book love the concentration on attack spellls!!  I would maybe get rid of one golem seems excessive.  Have u had or used all 3 in one match?  Akiros favor maybe useful.  It pairs well with the gloves if you did a round with two attack spells.  I would also think about adding a rust, acid ball to take down high armor.  Stalagmite and invisible fist is also nice to see.  Surging wave is also very useful to have against battleforges or forcemaster/ defenses

Yeah one the golems and the hammer are probably on the chopping block.  Have only gotten 1 golem out actually between two matches (both wins  ;D) and I don't think I'll need ever really need three and if I do it's probably a match I'm winning and unnecessary.

Acid ball comes in and out, seem more action efficient to just use stalagmite when I can throw 5 dice with 3 piercing.  Then again an acid ball or two could be nice against zombies. Will definitely consider the others as well (akiros favor seems to be sorely missing).

I think I would try to add in maybe a forge to let u get equipment on and to use elemental wand, as well as 2 acid balls great against zombies for example and might try to add ballad of courage since removes slow from golem and super good on Minotaur. If u can add 2 since in school.

I have a battle forge ;)
Have added an acid ball since posting the book
As for the ele wand, its currently staying out because the point of this book is to leverage the halberd with my battle commands to gain the range bonus, i have also added a regrowth for the minotaur to help keep him around longer and swapped dig in for Press the attack to gain a melee bonus with halberd as well.
We'll see how it works

Also can the ballad be played on the golems? They're physic immune
