Title: Invisible and Guard
Post by: pixelgeek on March 29, 2013, 01:12:24 PM
Ran into this yesterday. Invisible Stalker is in a zone with a creature with Guard. Stalker is Invisible and has Elusive and Pest.

Elusive lets you ignore creatures with Guard but as soon as the Stalker declares an attack it loses Elusive.

We eventually decided that since the Guard trigger and the loss of Elusive happened in the same step that I, as the controlling player, could determine what order they happened in.

I am just wondering if that was the correct solution?

Hi Pixelgeek!

It is intended that the Stalker be able to elude guards.

First he declares his attack, and then he loses the Invisibility. He actually loses the Invisibility at the end of the Declare Attack Step (immediately after the attack is fully declared).

Should we add this to the FAQ?

Absolutely. Especially the "end of the Declare Attack Step" issue.

Is the Mage Wars Team versioning the FAQ and posting when it updated?

A new updated FAQ is being prepared and will be sent to the playtesters for review.  There are about a dozen minor additions awaiting approval!
